  17.                                Introduction
  18.  
  19. This   little   program  should  be  named  MultiView  and  placed  in  the
  20. SYS:Utilities  directory.   I  wrote it because when I used OS 2.1 and when
  21. unpack archives from Aminet or the like, I had this situation:  doubleclick
  22. on an icon and a requester pops up :

  24.  Unable to open your tool 'MultiView'
  25.  
  26. Here  is  where  this  program  comes  in.  It is called instead of the 3.x
  27. MultiView  and for all the file types there can be a configured viewer that
  28. you like best.

  30. How to use it?
  31.  
  32. Very  simple.   Just  put  it  in SYS:Utilities and forgot old MultiView by
  33. Commodore.

  37.  - Works under OS 2.0 !!!
  38.  - Locale support
  39.  - Under OS 3.0 can use datatypes
  40.  - Recognized 633 filetypes via FileID.library
  41.  - Configurable via tooltypes
  42.  - Gives you info about file (which type is it)
  43.  - Nearly complete replace for MultiView by Commodore
  44.  - xfdmaster support in registered version

  56. Some problems :

  58.  - viewers must be in your path or given with complete path, when used
  59.    (DOS.library`s Execute function related)
  60.  - no external prefs program
  61.    (maybe in future 8->> )
  62.  - can handle only commands up to 512 characters
  63.    (max. CLI command length is 512)
